Lavender Dress

I made another dress using a shirt for the top section.  The more I make, the easier they get.

I just dropped the waist a few inches.  I just wanted it to be airy and light.  I pumped this one out pretty quickly, and used the same method as the striped dress, only I gathered the skirt section, and didn't have the bottom flare out at all.  The gathering at the waistline was enough for me.

  2. Your blog was just suggested to me by my s-i-l Shannon and I'm so glad she did. This dress is adorable. Can't wait to see what else you come up with.

  4. I have just looked at this and your nautical dress tutorial and I just have to say Thank you.
I have so many t-shirts that are just a bit too short in the body and now I can still wear them.
I am so grateful for your sharing.

  5. Hi,
I am wondering how you measure for your pleated skirt bottom. How do I know how big to make the skirt before pleating?

  7. Having a tough time seeing any tutorials here too. I was looking on the coral knit t-shirt dress tutorial, which there was not one, but a link in there saying that you used the same tutorial as this one, so I came to this one. Like Cygnet, I don't see any! :( I do love your beautiful work on your sewing projects though. Very stunning and such lovely colors!
