Flea Market

This morning I hit up a cute little flea market over at The Portch in Springville this.  They had some really great finds!  You don't see too many flea market in Utah County, so I was excited to check it out.

Love the lines of this frame.  With a fresh coat of paint it could look amazing!

I couldn't resist snagging this little seat.  Bradley will love it for Christmas and you can't beat $10.  Plus, it matches his room!

This was my love of the day.  I have been searching for a simple wooden rocking chair for a long time, and this was perfect for B's room!

Bradley loved shopping too.  But only because he got to suck on a dum dum the entire time.

houzz

wow.  big apologies for the lack of posts lately.

I have felt like I have been trapped in a world of fabric and sewing machines for the past few days.  Every waking free moment I have had has consisted of me glued to my machine.  But, the good news is that our Halloween costumes are complete (all 3 of them), and I am making good headway on my skirt for SewNews.
(in addition to taking care of a sick baby and barf up the wazoo)

So I feel like I actually have time to take a breath!

If you are like me and have gobs and gobs of free time that you can spend lounging looking at beautifully decorated rooms online, then I have just the thing. . . check out houzz.com.  This place is your one stop shop for everything design/inspiration for your home.  The best  part about it is it is super easy to tag photos that you like and set them up in your own personal file system for getting back to later on.

Is this website old news to you?  Sorry if it is.  If not, sorry for introducing you to the most incredible time-sucker EVER.

a little eye candy please....

love the deep coral and those seahorse pillows

um. love everything.  The wallpaper, ceiling, table, mirrored side table...

these fun prints add an unexpected pop of color

ok, forget the rooms.  I just want this closet.

p.s. In addition to all of my craziness, we are moving to a bigger place in Provo and I am working on trying to get our current place rented.  I can't wait to decorate our new place!

Festive

I have been busy getting our house decorated for fall, and stumbled upon this amazing wreath tutorial over at twig and thistle.

I am up to my eyeballs with sewing projects (Halloween is right around the corner....aagh!), but my front door is begging me to make some time to create this little beauty.

p.s.  I will have a new skirt tutorial for you just as soon as I can get it photographed.  Want a hint about what it entails? . . . lace.  And lots of it.

The Grove

I was down in California last weekend, and we stopped by The Grove on our was home from LAX.  It has such a fun atmosphere.  I got a few photos so you can see just how gorgeous it is down there.

They have a Zara down there and I couldn't get enough of their fall coats.
And the underlying theme with each jacket I put on......shoulder-pads!  In a very chic non-80's kind of way.

Isn't the trolley adorable?

They have an amazing farmers market.  You never know what new celebrity food you will spot down there.

and I just couldn't pass up a frozen banana

there's always money in the banana stand!
