So as a little thank you I thought I'd do a giveaway! Anyone want a Socialite Skirt?  Because that's what is up for grabs.  I will make you a Socialite Skirt completely custom to fit your body.  You can even pick the fabric!

In order to enter you must be a follower of my blog.  Just leave a comment saying what kind of fabric you would like your Socialite Skirt made out of.

For a second entry, post about this giveaway on your blog, and leave me a second comment telling me so.

Not too hard, right?

Welcome Sponsor: Little Miss Tutu

I'd like to introduce you all to my newest sponsor:  Little Miss Tutu!

Little Miss Tutu sells adorable pettiskirts for your little girls.  There are a handful of great color combinations to choose from:

(my current fav)

Not only are these skirts cute and feminine, but they are incredibly reasonably priced!  I've seen pettiskirts on sale anywhere from $50 to $100, but these little babies are a steal at only $10 each!  At that price point, you could afford to get one for your little sweetheart to wear in a 1 year birthday photo session, and a second one that she can dance and twirl in till her heart's content.  Would I be crazy if I bought some now for my future daughter sometime down the road?

Summer is the charm and creativity behind this fabulous little boutique.  Here is a little word from Summer:

Here at Little Miss Tutu we believe every little girl should look and feel like a princess but without taking a toll on your bank account!  We sell high quality pettiskirts that are sure to put a big smile on your little miss's face!  We hope you find everything you are looking for.  If you have any questions feel free to drop us a line at contact(at)littlemisstutu.com

Check them out!

madewell picks

I like to think of Madewell compared to J.Crew like Urban Outfitters is to Anthropologie.  J.Crew owns Madewell, but Madewell has a slightly more earthy....urban vibe to it.  I browsed through their store this weekend (I swear...the shopping in Utah is nothing compared to out here), and I found myself drooling over quite a few pieces.

I had a hard time putting this necklace down.  I could see myself wearing it every single day.

This picture doesn't do the shirt justice.

I need to get me some cropped white skinnies.

again, you gotta see these shorts in person.  I died.  They are a bronze metallic fabric and are fabulous.

The gold buttons are the best part of this cardigan.  I have a handful of gold buttons already purchased and just waiting to go onto a cardi.  I just need to find the right fabric...

georgetown

Garrett surprised me on Mothers Day weekend by taking me on a little shopping trip to Georgetown.  Everyone told me I would love it.  And everyone was right.  The houses along the streets are so gorgeous and quaint.  And the shopping is to die for.

So it only took us about 45 minutes to park.  And we may or may not have gotten a parking ticket....which I need to remember to pay.  But other than that it was awesome.  We ate at a fantastic little pizza shop that supposedly Obama loves.  My favorite part about M street were all the adorable store fronts.

This Anthro might look small from the outside but it was the biggest one I had ever been in.  It was 2 stories.

The had an Ann Sacks there that I was really wanting to check out, but by the time we got to the store it was closed.  Big bummer, because look at how beautiful everything is just from outside the store window:

I was so excited when I spotted Georgetown Cupcakes.  Not that I've ever watched the show DC Cupcakes.....but I totally would if I tried one.

Except the line looked like this:

I wasn't that desperate for a cupcake.  Maybe I'll try another day.  For now, I'll just be satisfied with Sweet Tooth Fairy.  Their raspberry lemonade cupcakes are divine.

Garrett surprised me with my mother's day present a day early and took me to Sephora to let me pick out a new perfume.  I have a slight obsession with perfumes, so this was perfect.  He had a few he was trying to decide between, so he just let me pick.  I married a smart man.

I decided on Miss Dior Cherie by Christian Dior.  I have had a few samples of that one and love the scent.  It lasts forever.

arhaus

I was walking through the Tysons Corner Mall today and stumbled on Arhaus.  Have you heard of them?  Maybe I am out of the loop, but that was the first time I had seen that furniture store.

They have some really great stuff.  It's kind of a Restoration Hardware meets Ballard Design.

yes please.  You can never have enough tufting.

I love how delicate and simple this chandelier is

These are great.  Totally unexpected and quirky, but sophisticated at the same time.

mmmm.  more tufting.

love the chair, and how cool is that lamp?
