LND

dress: me, bag: Banana Republic, necklace: Ann Taylor, bracelet: J.Crew, sunnies: Forever 21, shoes: 9 West, lipstick: Mac So Chaud, nails: Sally Hansen Heat Flash

Not only should every woman have a little black dress in their closet, but I think a little navy dress is a must as well.  I made this dress by creating a pattern from a dress I already had that was sleeveless, I just added on some sleeves.  I had a ton of amazing quality navy knit that I used.  This dress has darts in the back and in the bust, so it fits like a glove.

  2. Fabulous! How much would I have to spend to have you as my personal designer, seemstress, fashion consultant, etc.? Yay, I thought it would be out of my price range. Bummer. :)
BTW, every time I wear it I get compliments on the apron I won from you and I proudly tell them that my cousin designed & sewed it!

I'm a big fan of navy. I think it looks better on some women than black. Nice job!

  15. What pattern did you modify? I can add sleeves, but I'd love a starting off point for making a dress like this. The pencil shape is exactly what my curveless body loves and the fabric drapes so beautifully!
