and I finally got around to making our house nice and festive for Fall.  Plugging in a spiced cider wallflower just wasn't cutting it for me.

I am so excited to officially launch my new website, leannebarlow.com!  The first piece in my collection, my Great Lengths Maxi skirt is now available!  Stop by and have a look around!

The Great Lengths Maxi is available in both coral and navy/white stripes.

(The navy/white is currently in production, but it is available for preorder.  They will be in stock sometime late October/early November and all preorders will be shipped first)

I make all of my decisions with YOU in mind!  Thanks again for everyone who participated in the survey I posted a few weeks ago.  It really helped with a lot of the decisions that went into manufacturing the pieces.  It has been a long process, but I couldn't be happier.  It is so satisfying to see weeks and weeks of work all come together in a finished product.  I couldn't have done it without the amazing Mabel at Savvy Apparel Studio, and the photography skills of Lauren from Lala's Lens Photography.  And is my pregnant model Corrine gorgeous or what?

Bradley turned three, and I am having a hard time comprehending that age!  Three just seems so old so me.  I have entered the world of pre-school and lots and lots of the question "why?"  We got together with our weekly play group and ran those kids to the ground at Provo Beach Resort.

So we are obviously building up an army.  There were 9 boys at play group that day.  Add the 2 cooking in their mommies tummy and that makes 11!  It is so great to have a group of moms that can all recite every word to Thomas the Train along with me.

Bradley requested a "Wighting McQueen" cake for his birthday.  He had a little bit of a hard time with the fact that he couldn't play with Lightning or Francesco until we blew out the candles, but other than that he was thrilled.

Complete with a Lightning backpack and he was one happy kid.  I tried my darndest to talk him into one of these adorable ones, but I caved in and got the character backpack.  Against every fiber of my being.

I got this lightweight heather gray material at a fabric store that was going out of business in California.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it since it was so lightweight.  But after my long loose top obsession, I had my answer.  I wear this top probably more than would be socially acceptable.  But it is so soft and is easily dressed up with a blazer, or down with some comfy leggings.  It also works great if you have to throw something on last minute for a late night trip to the ER because your 3 year old threw some pens on the floor and then proceeded to fall on top of your 7 month old who stuck one of those pens in his mouth at that very moment.  

Notagoodcombination.  

Luckily no stitches were needed and the wound is quickly healing.  But man kids can give you a heart attack sometimes!

I can't get enough of these stretchy pencil skirts lately.  Can you tell?  They might look all prim and proper, but the stretchy knit means I have no problem bending over to hoist up my bajillion pound baby car seat. 
(car seat + solid as a rock infant = emerging biceps)

I decided to revisit my Lace for Days skirt and pair it with the ever versatile chambray top.  I really like the mixture of feminine lace mixed with something slightly casual.  And why not throw on a big sparkly necklace for good measure.  Or if you were my 3 year old, it would be a big sprinkly necklace.  Either adjective is acceptable in my book.

In other news, I got my first shipment in of these babies for my upcoming clothing line.  It will be the first piece available in the line and it is really fun to see everything coming together.  I don't want to give too much away but I'll give you a hint....the skirt is long and awesome and rhymes with taxi.  Just have to finish up a few lose ends and we will be up and running!  DAYS people!  I'm talking days!
